Decorative pumpkins made out of fabric or, as in this case, socks, are a great idea for people who love to create different things and have imagination.

I love to decorate my home according to the seasons. Little changes in our decoration change every bit of our house and I like it.

The autumn comes, and autumn decoration comes with it. Of course there must be autumn leaves and pumpkins. In my living room, however, the colors are white, gray and black. Far away from the warm autumn colors. We are in our new home soon and I have no decoration from previous years to take out and arrange. I’ve already bought some things, but all I could find is in natural warm autumn colors (i will use them elsewhere in the house).

Now is the time to invent and make pumpkins to match the colors in the living room. I love to create new things and use my imagination. This gives me unique things that only I have.
I’m going to show you how i made pumpkins from socks for decoration. I’ll use spray paint to get the colors that I want. You can use colorful socks with the colors you want.

How to make decorative pumpkins from socks

What I used:

New socks, rice (make it a bit heavier for it to stand in place), cotton, needle and thread, wooden sticks, glue, paint spray to make the pumpkins in the color I want and other materials that you’ll see in the photos.

Here’s how I made the pumpkins from socks. I won’t describe it step by step, but I will show it with pictures.

Well, the socks now look like pumpkins ( while I was making them, they kind of looked like garlic 😄). If you like, leave them like this and use them in your autumn decoration. For me, however, this isn’t enough and I will make them look different.
The next step is to paint them with spray paint. The handles are painted in silver. So colored and I already like them more. Once the paint is completely dry it’s time to make final touches.

This is the final result. They don’t look like the socks I started with, right? Now I have decoration that is unique and matches the interior.
I hope you like this idea and it helps you in creating your own ideas and projects.
Thank you for stopping on my blog!

  1. Aw, this was an incredibly nice post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to produce a superb article… but what can I say… I hesitate a whole lot and never seem to get anything done.

  2. You made some decent points there. I looked on the internet
for more info about the issue and found most individuals will
go along with your views on this site.
