Now it’s summer and the variety of fruits is great. Just now, here in Spain, the outside temperature is 40° and I’m replacing one of my daytime meals with a cold and fresh smoothie. When I eat fruits, my belly is bloating, but when I add them in the smoothie this problem is gone.
I love to have combinations of fruits in my smoothie, so every day I prepare a different one, and it does not bother me.
I love pineapple and I often use it in the smoothies that I prepare. I always use a banana, even two bananas to make the smoothie thicker, but the type of liquid that I put almost every time is different.
Some time ago I was only making them with water, so they could be with low calories. Then I started to put cow, almond or soy vanilla milk. The liquid that is added is a very small quantity and therefore the calories don’t bother me. This time I put yogurt for variety. I also added honey because yoghurt is naturally unsweetened. If you don’t like honey or have an allergy to it, you can remove the honey and use sweetened vanilla yoghurt, the drink will become much more delicious.
